1] coming Fri, 5th Sept, there is an acting audition. main casts for PENTAS are needed. the audition is open to all. if you are interested, come down to ArtSpace. it's from 3 to 6pm.

2] coming Mon 8th Sept, there's a PENTAS production team meeting outside library, 3pm. this is only for Fau & Wani. i'll talk to u girls abt this later.

3] coming Tue 9th Sept, there's a TAKLIMAT for PENTAS, 8.30pm. this, ALL of us need to attend. just take note for now. will elaborate on this during tue's training. also, meaning, we have training first, break fast together, and go for the meeting together ok.. it's compulsory!

4] ingat eh, datang tau training!

Since tomorrow is National Day, and PST will be having a show outside the museum in the morning and in the afternoon, i thought it would be great if we could come down and show our support to the boys. Jangan menghilang ajer okay?(: Please be reminded that the Annual General Meeting(AGM) is THIS SATURDAY, 14 JUNE 08 and we have yet to prepare the full set for AGM. We only have 3 trainings before the performance and we have ALOT to do. Only a few of you know the song that we will be singing, so yang lain-lain tu jangan tak datang horr. AGM IS COMPULSORY SO ALL OF YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ATTEND, UNLESS YOU HAVE A VALID REASON. I will pass to you the indemnity form on TUESDAY. I hope all of you are in the best of health(:

Please be reminded that there will be training on Tuesday, 20 May and Thursday, 22 May. Report at Studio 2 by 6.30pm. I would really appreciate it if you girls come PUNCTUALLY and be dressed in your P.T attire before reporting to the studio.THAT INCLUDES PROPER SHOES! And yes, you girls are required to bring your P.T attire for EVERY training until further notice. It is IMPORTANT that everyone participates in the training that's been planned for all of you. This would definitely benefit you in time to come. Trust me.
For those of you who cannot make it for ANY of the trainings with VALID reasons, please be proactive enough to inform either hidd (82231792) or me (96274163) beforehand. Korang jangan lah tunggu sampai kiter call lepas tu baru nak bilang. Tak best eh macam gitu.
I understand that term test week is coming and all of us will definitely be busy with quizzes and projects, but we are all going through the same thing. Perkara: Undangan untuk menyertai acara Pesta Pantun 2008 anjuran
Persatuan Bahasa Melayu, Universiti Kebangsaan Singapura

1. Saya, selaku pengelola/penyelaras acara, ingin mengundang para pelajar daripada sekolah Tuan/Puan untuk menyertai pertandingan tahunan Pesta Pantun yang dianjurkan oleh Persatuan Bahasa Melayu Universiti Kebangsaan Singapura.

2. Pertandingan yang akan bermula pada 7 haribulan Jun 2008 , ini bertujuan untuk menyemai rasa cinta kepada bahasa dan sastera Melayu melalui wadah berpantun.

3. Sesi Taklimat pertandingan dan Klinik Pantun akan diadakan pada 24 haribulan Mei 2008. Sesi ini wajib dihadiri oleh semua peserta yang disenaraikan di borang penyertaan.

4. Ia juga diharapkan dapat membantu memantapkan lagi penguasaan bahasa Melayu di kalangan para pelajar posmenengah.

5. Pesta Pantun 2008 telah dihadkan kepada 18 kumpulan. Kami akan memberikan penyertaan kepada 18 institusi yang pertama menyatakan keinginan mereka menyertai acara ini.

6 Turut dilampirkan dengan surat ini ialah borang penyertaan yang perlu diisi dan dikembalikan kepada pihak kami.

8. Borang penyertaan sekolah Tuan/Puan hendaklah dikembalikan selewat-lewatnya kepada kami pada 24 haribulan Mei 2008 apabila para peserta menghadiri sesi Taklimat & Bengkel Pesta Pantun. Masa dan tempat akan diberitahu pada waktu yang akan datang oleh wakil kami.

9. Yuran penyertaan sebanyak $40 dikenakan bagi setiap sekolah yang menyertai Pesta Pantun. Jumlah ini boleh dibayar kepada Saudari Nurul Huda pada 24 haribulan Mei 2008 bersama borang penyertaan sebelum bermulanya Sesi Taklimat dan Klinik Pantun.

So i've got an announcement to make for all you girls.

This year, we will be having our very own MAG Camp t-shirt. Yay!
so....anyone who has ideas for a design, please feel free to do so eh.

Your design has to be on an A4 piece of paper. Of course it has to symbolise MAG lah. Not only nira or whoever. MAG as a whole...okay?Make sure you try your design on both black and white backgrounds. As in...on a black background and on a white background. Not black & white background.haha!okay whatever liyana~

If you want to use colours in your design, you can only use a maximum of 2 colours.

Finally, the SEA performance is done!

We had fun, made new friends, met with the gorgeous Dennis Keller, danced with Beats Encore from RP, took loads of pictures, "danced" on stage etc etc.

There were definitely SHITLOADS of crap that happened while having preps for the performance. But that aside. With loads of help from our fellow friends...

Thursday training pon 5 orang ajer. PIKIR KELAKAR KE APER!?

Cmon girls, we are having a major performance. It's a BIG deal. If you think it is just another dikir barat set, WRONG. Kalau korang tak tau what the hell the performance is about, SAPE SURO TAK DATANG TRAINING?!

COME FOR TRAINING GIRLS!. I made the effort to mass SMS EVERYONE of you so the least you could do is turn up. If you don't, TELL.

Other than that, a few dates to take note of:
13th March - Training at HomeTeamNS-JOM with Artistic Director, Alex (4-6pm)
17th March - 2nd training at HomeTeamNS-JOM with Artistic Director, Alex (3-5pm)
22nd March - Full run rehearsal at HomeTeamNS-JOM (4-6pm)
24th March - Technical rehearsal at Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel (Denise Keller is the host yaw!) (12pm- approx. 7pm)
25th March - ACTUAL DAY (noon til approx. 10pm)

Alex is the Artistic Director for this event. He is from Artistix Productions so we will be working closely with him to get the performance done.

Tak tau kan HomeTeamNS-JOM kat maner? Tidak mengapa. We will have a meeting point prolly at Toa Payoh Interchange and take a bus there. So no worries. And notice that I've chosen time slots that are in the evening so that korang takkan complain balik lambat because the HomeTeamNS-JOM is at Balestier.

Please girls, this is MAJOR. I don't want external people to see from NIRA just 5 girls there, tgh duduk, baring, tiarap, main PSP, tak buat pape. I want to see almost full strength from now onwards til performance day okay.

First training- Attendance poor.

Maner la korang2 ni somer pegi.

Tapi tkpe.. 1st training kan? Saya lenient sikit. Ader yang kerje, ader yang dah ader plans. Ader yang tak tau maner.

So trainings would be every Tuesday and Thursday, starting at 6pm. Why 6pm? Jadi korang boleh joli-joli early in the day. Holiday mah. Takpe takpe.

So for those who don't know yet..

We have an upcoming performance on the 25th March. It's a performance for the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) Education Awards. (Kalau tak tau aper, go Google it) It would be at Jubilee Hall, Raffles Hotel. It's quite a "prestigious" event I must say so it's good exposure for you girls.

We have less than a month away from the performance. It might be the re-used set (Read: International Cultural Night) but then again, korang confirm2 dah karat kan with all the tepuk2 and the screaming, so gear yourselves up okay.

So cross out Tuesdays and Thursday, 6-9pm on your calendars. See you girls next training.

It's the last week of the term. Aku paham betapa busy nye korang sampai takde masa utk diri sendiri. Kesiaaaaaaannnnnn.....

Tapi kener ingat, we have to prepare for Piala Khatulistiwa 2007. Your names have been submitted and we are to start training ASAP. Aku paham korang nak belajar and all that, tapi we have to remember we have alot of brushing up to do for the competition. And when I say ALOT.. I really mean REALLY ALOT.

Aku nak korang punye co-operation yang sepenuh-penuhnye. Take trainings as a stress reliever from your school work. Seek understanding from your parents just for this month. Aku tau word "dikir" ni dah macam damned gitu. But please ah, kita kener belajar how to compromise.

So, for this week, trainings are on 4th and 6th December 2007, Tuesday and Thursday. For term test week, by Friday, 14th December 2007, or maybe Thursday, 13th December 2007, most of you would be done with most of your papers.

So for term test week, trainings would be on Thursday and Friday. If need be, we would have training on Saturday, 15th December 2007.

After the term test week,which is 17th - 22nd December, training would be EVERYDAY! That is already the Khatu week.Training would start at 12pm and will end around 8pm. Don't worry, we will have lunch together and such so don't get too stressed up just by looking at the times. We are losing out one day that is Hari Raya Haji which is on the 20th December(kambing punye pasal). So I want productive trainings before Khatulistiwa week itself.

Aku tau it's gonna be one hell of a week. Tapi seriously, attendance has been fucked up and I've been giving face for way too long. I do not want anyone not turning up for trainings unless you really come up with a good reason to excuse yourself from training. Don't assume I don't know things so please eh korang.. selagi korang takde alasan untuk bilang/"tipu" aku, aku nak korang attend trainings.

For trainings, wear comfortable attire because we will have physical trainings. So prepare for that.

With that, take note of the dates and I will see you girls in training. Let's strive for Piala Khatulistiwa! WOOHOO!

I have that passion to perform with you guys... but to tell you guys the truth... i can't let that part of me shine through... I just can't... Maybe, because of my lack of confidence, I find it hard to continue... I'll find a way to shine, and when that day comes, i'll shine with you... Love you guys... :'D

So everyone is still on a hangover after Pentas.

Now now... let's get back to business....

We have 3 other performances to get ready for.....

• Piala Khatulistiwa 2007 - 22nd Dec 2007

I understand you girls are really really tired from all those training and rehearsals of Pentas but I'm sure we can do it. Everyone has their projects, assignments and what nots but we've got to persevere thru this ok?

So do attend rehearsal for the ICN performance on Monday, 19 Nov 2007. Meet at Koi Pond at 6pm. If possible.. come earlier ok? :)

This is just the beginning for you.

It's finally over and done with. Unlike past years, this time, I didnt have much thinking to do. But more of worry. Worry the girls might screw up, worry the audience won't be entertained, worry the show did not work well.Everyone's got their own worries. But the girls pulled thru.

This is not a speech to anyone. Not even a speech to shed tears for. True, Fid, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.And for that, for what I've gone thru with Nira, definitely has made me stronger than before.

Applause received with many thanks to audience who still believe in Nira, whose support is very much appreciated.For those, who came, the alumnis of Nira whom I didnt get to meet, I missed you girls. I missed performing with you girls.If only we could make it for Khatu later this year..But i'll be joining you girls soon. Very soon. As soon as Khatu starts. I'll be sitting and watching for surprises from Nira. And if I do shed any tear, I hope it'll be tear of reminiscence and happiness.

Where burden was felt by me alone, now I'm seeing them sharing the load I used to carry. And I'll assure myself that you girls will make me proud for, now, you know that you can stand on your own feet. Kudos to you Naq n Sai. And all those that has helped. I am not great, mistakes made and learnt from. And I what want for this Nira, is to be better than previous times. Grow from your mistakes.

I've come all the way, not to see you girls falling down and crying hard of regrets. Because you girls are fresh start. And because the time when Nira was only a smoke break for fellow performers, has ended.

My hopes for you girls this Khatu, make me sitting down there proud of you; proud that I was there performing and now you girls will too. Its never about winning. And do not feel pressured by your fellow competitors, because they are just like you, to learn from mistakes made.

Ingat kawan2, usah diikut resmi jagung...

My only regret is that I could not perform for a set written by Fid.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate all of you guys for the wonderful performance.. You pple were great.. CACA and LIYANA stole the limelight.. it was a very fun night for me.. and i am so sorry to fid, achiok and im and the rest for letting u guys down as i haven been playing my role as an R&D team.. i noe i haven been there for nira as much.. not going down for trngs often and ever so often halfway i would just walk out to join my trng at titisan..

but the one week of trng was made to good use.. u guys made me feel welcome once again.. and i feel guilty for that.. thank you fish, nana and roosh fr teaching me the ragams.. shiet! im tearing while typing this..

but my fun time wid nira and titisan has come to a stop. it was a really memorable experience this whole 2 years spent wid nira.. it wasnt my choice to leave cz its my passion to perform.. bt coming frm a family who isnt into performing arts.. i find it difficult to reason to my parents.. and even if i did.. they still think it was a waste of time..

it was a deal i had to make.. i cant deny dat i was tearing yesterday wen fid said next show will be khatu and we will practice hard fr it.. as much as i wana be part of it again i cant.. it was a great pleasure to perform wid u guys.. and im so sorry if i had hurt anyone..

thank you once again NIRA, FID, ACHIOK and IM.. the memories wid u guys will always be in my heart.. never will i once forget u guys..

my fun time performing has come to an end. but my passion for performing will never end.

Pentas Training

Hello girls, it's good to see three rows again yesterday. =) Anyway, I'm here to remind again, that PENTAS TRAINING WILL BE HELD EVERYDAY from this coming week.

Training will start at 6pm onwards. Please be prepared to go home later than usual.

If you cant go home late, please don't give the excuse for coming down at all. Don't worry, we will release you if you have to go. Kita tak gigit (:

As discussed yesterday, Naq and I will go down to geylang to get the costumes and accessories. I will be choosing two more girls to come along with us. Just wait for my call... Hehe..

Lastly, LOA, jangan lupa apply ok.
